In order to study education from early childhood through advanced adulthood in a longitudinal perspective, theoretical and methodological approaches from different scientific disciplines must be integrated. The NEPS network therefore brings together the expertise of research institutes, research groups, and individual researchers in an interdisciplinary excellence network, which is organized across three committees.

The NEPS network includes all NEPS network partners, who generally also hold leadership roles within the NEPS areas, as well as their staff members. Currently, the NEPS network comprises nearly 200 individuals across 13 institutions throughout Germany.
