Thus, supporting distinguished doctoral theses with the help of the GESIS Doctoral Program is an important component of this self-conception. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"target-group\">Target Group<strong> <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The GESIS Doctoral Program is a structured interdisciplinary graduate program for all doctoral candidates working at GESIS. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"objectives\">Objectives <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Doctoral studies are carried out in collaboration with universities since only those are entitled to confer doctorates. Hence both the doctoral process and the attainment of the associated academic title are governed by the respective regulations of the university (or of the university faculty or department) where the doctorate is registered and carried out.
