Objectives

ELINET focuses on the creation of a sustainable European Literacy Policy Network (ELINET), an umbrella organization for all organizations engaged in literacy policy making and promotion, building on the 2012 Report of the European High Level Expert Group on Literacy (EHLG). It aims to develop evidence-based tools for all actors in the heterogeneous field of literacy locally, regionally, nationally or transnationally. ELINET will gather and analyse information on literacy policies; facilitate the exchange of expertise and good practice in effective policy approaches and literacy campaigns; and support member organisations in campaigning to raise awareness of the importance of literacy across a broad range of policy areas.
